Bamber Miller Architects provides a range of services, drawing on our experience to see your project successfully through to completion. This includes producing drawings, overseeing the design process, assisting with the approvals that may be required, managing the build and keeping track of your budget.
This stage covers the early part of your project during which we work closely with you to establish an outline brief, timeframe and budget. It is also the right time to identify any constraints and reduce any potential risks or problems.
Design Development & Planning
This is a collaborative process during which we will look to develop and interpret your ideas and aspirations. We then test these ideas through hand sketching and modelling to provide a range of design concepts to discuss and develop together. At this stage we will look to unlock the potential of your site, exploring inventive and practical ways to enhance your environment. We will help to maximise what can be achieved within your budget, using our imagination, experience and insight to add real value to your project and achieve your vision. Where required we will prepare applications to the local authority for planning consent.
Technical Design & Building Regulations
We can put together the necessary drawings and documentation for an application for Building Regulations approval, covering the functional and technical requirements of buildings. We can offer advice about other consultants that may be required, such as a structural engineer, and can assist you with their appointment. We can also assist in identifying suitable and sustainable methods of construction, energy efficient systems and new technologies for your consideration.
During the construction phase our services can include assisting you to select a builder and the appropriate building contract that we can then administer. We can monitor progress and check the works on site are in accordance with the contract through to completion. Bamber Miller Architects is happy to prepare a fee proposal for our services, which will be broken down based on the RIBA Plan of Work 2013, and tailored to your requirements.
